This change must be region-limited, or just takes awhile to roll out. In Canada, I tried searching for 2 of the sites on DDG the story said were removed, and they both still show up.

Word of advice, this is interesting and worth paying attention to. However, hearing loss has already been successfully cured before decades ago. I remember reading back in the 80s that it was only 10 years away. It actually worked.. only pr

Let's say you want to print something, all you need to do is pop open the menu and can quickly scan for the printer icon which is a recognizable shape. Without the icon, you have to consciously read the lines in the menu to make sure y

You have to start further back than you realize. Almost all computers nowadays ship with a second dedicated CPU and OS that you can't access or shut off. They are network self-aware and it is a backdoor. The most well known one is call

It is interesting to contemplate how much of this problem is artificially induced by executives in suits screaming at people to "innovate". Strangely enough, we don't seem to mess around with steering wheels in cars.

The flatness of some UIs along with the removal of some visual cues has happened that I have tapped on things that aren't actually a button thinking that they might be one. When I make my own apps one day, I am going to ignore design f

Not about a console, but sometimes manufacturers or developers change the UI of the system or valued apps. Examples: Sony removed Linux OtherOS from the Playstation 3 firmware because even though it didn't have a GPU driver, they were

The best browser on Android is usually Samsung Internet Browser. It will work on non-Samsung devices. It has dark mode, it has adguard block addon, it's chromium, etc.

The point is Firefox has preferable ergonomics. For example, Firefox allows an end-user to specify their own fonts and colours. Chrome/Edge do not allow this.
