This article has nothing to do with DIY. It's a simple thing: If you enjoy a hobby, do it for the enjoyment, and not because it saves you money. If you don't enjoy a hobby, don't do it.

Yeah, overusing this is awkward. The main point is not to assign blame, agreed.

Best: We do not speak of mistakes in the active voice ("Stavros made a mistake and added a bug"). We use the passive voice, or the collective "we" ("a bug was mistakenly committed to the code"). Assigning blame

I agree with you, I've always thought of it like learning to ride a bike without training wheels. It's not "riding a bike without training wheels", it's "riding a bike". If you need to look at the keyboard

I don't use the home keys , I just know where the keys are. I type with my first three fingers and use the pinky for Shift and Ctrl. I can do 120 wpm and am very accurate at it. When I don't touch-type. I learned touch-typing ye

I could easily do 120 wpm at 98% accuracy before I switched to touch typing years ago. Now I'm at 80wpm at 95%.

By "vindication" do you mean "revenge"? Because vindication is absolutely not questionable. Revenge may be questionable, but I find that not teaching bad people a lesson isn't much better.

Nah, the standard playbook is to keep firing a bunch of employees who run the resource until service degrades, then complain about how badly mismanaged the resource is and extol how perfect it would be to have it be managed by a private com

Is this post missing the point, or am I? I thought that the point of requiring attestation is to prove that someone actually did go out and buy a legitimate Yubikey (or whatnot) and ban that key if they're spamming. With those two cons

I definitely can't, I haven't seen a country where it doesn't work the same way as in the UK. I suspect the author gets confused by the tiered tax rates the same way everyone is, where they think that if you make 45,001 GBP

The thing is Slack's UX is geared against that. We can treat it as async, but the moment someone sends a second message about the same topic to the room, you're done, the conversation starts diverging. It's also dog-slow, I h
