Update: I switched back to Textra because Simple SMS lacked a way to see timestamps for arbitrary messages. It will show occasional times when a message was received with some lull between it and the previous message. Otherwise, the timesta

The first book is my all-time favorite programming book. I was disappointed by the second one, though. It didn't hold the same charm and wonder as the original.

This is really cool, but... if the whole thing is to get a demo to run, the demo in question can be viewed on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GeWcGhYVYXY

I love the boot and rats wall ornament. They deserve love and recognition, too.

Careful. Think too hard about this and you'll question the concept of owning land in the first place. Then the whole thing falls apart.

If you want to actually learn stuff, side projects will probably serve you better. If you want to get a job at a trendy valley tech startup, stick with leetcode.

Regardless of his political views, you can learn everything you need to know about the man by watching any one of his fan mail videos. I've never in my life seen anyone act so annoyed and put out from receiving free stuff.

What is Big Question Notation? Also, which flying saucers does this support? I haven't bought one yet and I want to make sure the one I buy is compatible.

This is what I'm switching to. I would have suggested Textra, but when I downloaded it just now, TrackerControl told me there are a bunch of tracking libraries in it. Simple SMS Messenger, on the other hand, not only doesn't hav

Therapy can absolutely help. Therapy won't magically make you not burned out, but it will help give you coping strategies and help you identify the warning signs in the future.

The only thing keeping me from getting upset about this is the schadenfreude from imagining people digging up Elon in 3000 years.

Notice anything else unusual about the numbers in his graph? Tegmark is presenting his opinion as scientific fact by making up a flow chart and assigning some numbers to each branch that have been pulled out of thin air. This guy has every

If this hasn't already been done, this would make a great plot device for a heist story. A character uses this exploit to influence a mark to take an alternative route preferred by the heisters.

1 in 6 is instantly suspicious to me since it maps cleanly onto the roll of a standard six-sided die. Surely it's just a coincidence that the odds would perfectly map onto a very accessible metaphor for randomness that most laypeople w

It seems completely reasonable to me that if you pay for an education and the person you're ostensibly paying to teach you is doing a bad job, to be pissed off about it. The student is the customer.

I think the main advantages are that you don't have to remember to add "display:none", and that it gives the structure more semantic meaning. If I look at your code and see "display:none", I don't know why you&
