I use SuperPutty on my Windows PC to manage many putty sessions at a time...it is a little clunky, however it is better than having putty open 5 or 10 times.

I prefer the subdomain method. It keeps things separate. In our case it allows me to run our custom CMS for our website and separate Wordpress instance for our blog...no interdependencies of any type. YMMV.

Don't be concerned with immigration issues for a while and leave your business registration and taxation status in the UK. Sort out all the paperwork if or when you decide to settle down...in the meantime stay nimble, have fun and travel.

AWS instances don't have persistent storage...if your server crashes you loose your data, the changes to your OS and even your IP. AWS is great, but you can't compare the AWS instances with other VPS or Dedicated offerings.

It's true I fear...the big social networks (Facebook, Twitter and linkedin) all allow both name and profile pic as public even when you make your profile private. Spidering this data would build an amazing database for facial recognition. T
