I don't know how people do it -- I mean, I can cook and sometimes it is delicious, but it's nothing worst than waisting 2 hours on something and then at the end to find out that I blew the dish for some reason. I also cannot eat the same f

I don't mind the subversive TV advertisements - the can of coke in the bedroom, or the kid playing Xbox while their parents try to talk to them. What's really irritating is when the show comes to a complete halt for what amounts to a produ

Suggestion for FB (in case anyone's listening): The privacy setting for "Your status, photos, and posts" is overloaded, as it means two things: 1. The default privacy state for new content posted to your wall 2. The privacy state for acces

Probably the only way to really make ad-supported gameplay a reality would be to flip the model up-side down: Design the game around the ad itself. We've seen a few of these (the Burger King Xbox games come to mind). Some of them are actua

Check http://slickdeals.net . Occasionally someone will find a store with more stock. It's rumored that HP will have more in about a month, and/or we'll see these again around Black Friday (post-Thanksgiving sales in the U.S.).

Perhaps I was unfair - that's just my perspective of the current state of affairs. I've used some HP printers and some non-HP printers in the last few years, and the HP ones did nothing to stand out of the pack. I guess what I mean to say

What sort of stuff are they doing now? In the consumer's eye, they make mediocre printers and PCs. In my university days I happily used a HP calculator and scope, in addition to HPUX. Are those businesses still going strong?

I wonder how productive you could be if you ran linux with no window manager (just screen). Sure, you could use lynx, but it's a only-if-i-have-to sort of thing.

I'm surprised too. Anybody who thinks they should get MPE for free just because they bought MC is delusional. I have a hard time modifying my world view so that this is justifiable behaviour. How many people really thought along these l

I can sympathize with you. But even suspect credit fraud is also "purchase first" "warn later". Refusing to let a new device purchase anything without a thorough check is a ridiculous idea. They could always do something like what Steam d

This is exactly what I use Live Mesh for. I sync 10s of gigs of photos between remote PCs with it. The only thing I don't like about Live Mesh is that it's very difficult to tell what it's transferring and how long it's taking. It works,
