As a not-American stories like this make the very country itself seem like the blueprint followed by the tech giants. Illegally bullying the public at large, too big to punish, let alone reign in. It's not an ideal image, is it? And mo

Pity they want money to access the doc. I've spent years on a distributed, zero-knowledge sync service so would love to see what they've done. I should probably add the polish and make mine public, because as per the article I als

I have no dog in this race. Pretty much because I encounter inaccuracies on Wikipedia more often than I'd expect (most recent being the current status of Lancia). Just signing up to edit is just not worth my time. I wonder how many mor

Not sure why the doom and gloom. Because they can carry on as always except in Europe. If that's 90% of their base then yes, they may have problems. For such companies GDPR simply shrinks profits, no?

Immigration is good for any economy, because a growing economy is a strong one. There are many, many things more important than terrorism. And I imagine there are as many views on what exactly, as there are people. My biggest issue personal

Using a service that can be withdrawn at random without recourse is irresponsible. Whoever makes a decision like that needs a lesson in risk management. Blows my mind.

Because nothing comes close to the simplicity and utility that was Windows Phone 8. 10 mostly brought Windows on par with iOS and Android functionally, whilst mostly retaining the simplicity and utility of 8. Add their (used to be) industry

Interesting point. Issuu.com do online magazines, mostly the usual fashion/motoring/sport/and so on, but there is some stuff on Issuu that stretches racy a little thin.

You don't know that. The only way you're going to know that is to ask why. Call him back in, tell him is skillz are the bomb, but why lie? Who knows, there might be an acceptable answer.

I don't know. And given his ability I'd like to know. So if it were up to me I'd call him back in, confront him, and ask why he did it. I'd make my decision after that.

Holy moly what's this obsession with teaching pre-schoolers school stuff? When do kids just play anymore? I swear in another year or so a startup will start up that teaches unborn babies calculus while they're still in the womb.

They have a place but PWAs are no panacea. There are still things I want physical control of, like anything I need client-side encryption for. Fighting one extreme with another has been human nature, but isn't prudent.
