The article conflates “popular” with “loved”. JS is popular because it’s the only* language in which it’s possible to write browser apps and extensions. The number of people using transpilers for this purpose is minimal. In actual fact, mos

To combat some of the anxiety I had about people looking over my shoulder at my monitors, I bought a privacy filter for one of my screens. It has really improved my personal feeling of being watched.

I strongly disagree. I think it would be hard to articulate why an iPhone 6s (released in 2014) which is the phone my partner has, is not usable today. Many of my friends have phones that are currently 2-3 years old, and they work just fine

I travel (for pleasure) a lot with my wife. I want to talk about phone uses besides the camera (which I think others in this thread have covered extensively). We have a DSLR camera, and those photos IMO are much better than what phones cou

You are 100% right. However I was trying to respond to the parent commenter’s point about mediocrity. I was trying to craft a simple metric which would speak to mediocrity. It’s an imperfect metric for sure.

I’m not sure this is accurate, if attempting to compare US political figures with those of other countries. I don’t know if there is hard data on this, but I would bet the US Congress has proportionally just as many graduates of top univers
