His thesis statement is entirely misleading. He absolutely recommends it. The entire article reiterates several times how happy he was and continues to be that he passed up more secure opportunities again and again over the years. Not sure

Allow me to save you thirty seconds: The author defines 'hard work' as any kind of work that is physically taxing and/or dangerous. Any other kind of work is simply challenging, not 'hard'.

The way the entire thing was handled was deplorable. I got shadowbanned for posting a link to a BBC article on the shooting, which I only did because I thought it was weird as shit that it seemed like no one had done so yet.
