It was the right decision, @alyson-cabral. The major market is linux-based, correct? There are better uses of company assets, than trying to chase the less-than-0.06% of holdouts that operate Solaris. As a person of science, I've used

Has anyone watched the live entry of the US mirv's launched from one of our subs to the range of 4k miles? The warheads enter and hit the intended targets within 100m. US ICBMs eliminate guidance error using multiple methods, some of w

Does it scare anyone else that groups that aren't illegal are being censored for their (utterly repulsive) principals? Where do we draw the line? Personally, I don't want to enable bad people e.g. _real_ nazis (calling someone a n

IMHO HN is getting saturated with these articles. It's all good, I know that's it's a popular subject. So, just and observation.

Sincerely hope that people are paying attention. The SEC is as omnipotent as the IRS, in so much as they can make your life a living hell... in very short order. Recommend that people register their securities or currencies with them... bes

Good point DamVigilante. We trained the model using hundreds of human-scored essays. They were all double or triple scored, to validate IRR. I think that's why the model is performing so well. But, there is always room for improvement!

I hear you WoodenChair. For this particular task, the stakes are very low (really, zero). The model agrees with our human graders, quite well. In fact, statistically speaking, the machine scoring is actually tightly correlated to the highes

I'm pretty excited about this... at work, we are using machine learning to train models that allow us to automate the process of grading student essays. The product is called LightSide. I hope to apply my learning from the class to imp

I wish I could mod-down Backpropaganda.... Your blather provides the perfect example of what the author is trying to elucidate upon.

It would be healthy for HN moderators to ingest this article. Even well mannered and well intended messages that do not necessarily agree with progressive dogma, are consistently down-modded. That's a shame.

And I get modded down, why? Because these comments do not reflect a purely progressive viewpoint? You should reconsider whom are allowed to moderate these forums.
