Why would you want to keep your hands off the mouse? Why do you think the mouse is slow? Have you seen StarCraft players? They use the mouse and keyboard and perform an average of 200 actions per minute. In fact, to select a certain piece o

I have tried, many times, I even have some plugins installed like git-gutter, etc. It's not for me, thanks. I went back to Sublime Text and will only use vim in case of emergency, and only if I get paid for it.

I completely agree with you. The fact that we can take ideas and serialize them into language doesn't mean the language and the ideas are the same thing. They become ideas again when we deserialize them into our minds. Language models

> Language is crystalized consciousness. That's a pretty big claim. I disagree with it, but I agree about the idea of language models being a fundamental part of an artificial mind. Language is like the TCP/IP of ideas, we put

Middle click scrolling is awesome. Windows now has clipboard history by pasting with Win+V, having the best of both worlds. I'm sorry you can't adapt, but honesty no one cares =)

While in general this is a valid concern, so don't read from your cell phone too closely... Also don't confuse focal distance with real distance. We can potentially have a very close lens focused as if we are looking at an infinit

And I don't agree with you. Every time I can choose between PDF and EPUB, I choose EPUB.

That is the main flaw of the PDF file format. It is by design. If we want documents that work well on all screens, then we use EPUB.

I have reused PSUs for about 3 or 4 builds. It is always a good idea to overinvest in a good quality PSU, with some room to spare. CPU+board+RAM are usually replaced together, as a combo. So, not ideal, but not that bad either. Storage is a

Thank you for your comment. This is a very important point, that gets lost in the mystical catch-all argument of: “you just don't understand”. And what's there to understand? An ivory tower of connected ideas which are not falsifi

That is true. At first I thought the stories were created on demand. Some of us are compulsive readers once we get used to it, and I'm looking forward to being able to do that in my target language.

I think it is definitely the other way around. An AI will generate the kind of simplistic stories I need for my current level of proficiency in my target language. An actual human will more often than not slip some complex grammar and vocab

I don't think the target of Veracrypt is to be used by corporations. Almost by definition, corporations will sell their souls to MS if that means "accountability", that means someone to blame when things go wrong. Not if, whe
