Agree. When I first learned the subject, my first thought was: As fancy as that feature is, it should be called array memoization, or call stack memoization. The term "dynamic programming" should be reserved for something better.

You just refreshed this memory for me: I remember 25 years ago when StarCraft was dead and Age of Empires was it. It happened at the same moment my university switched from C++ to Java. I hated that change. And I remember 15 years ago when

I think this is the case of a few noisy people putting too much importance in a single feature, and ruining the whole for everyone else. If that argument were solid, Golang would not be more successful than Dlang, but reality is, Golang num

Performance and static binary compilation are available in 40-year-old languages, not forgetting Dlang, which is the central topic of this post. The only reason left to really use Rust is safety.

If that means the language will revive and all the work will not be lost, then it is fortunate, I would say. I am using Python every day. And there are many things from D which I miss. Not to mention the performance.

I agree that low quality content has always existed. But the issue is about the volume of misleading information that can be generated now. Anything legit will be much more difficult to find now, because of the increased (increasing?) volum

More and more AI-powered language tools and applications are appearing. I have noticed this with Spanish: the translations from English are wonderful and skilful about 70% of the time, they could be improved about 25% of the time, and they

I have believed that to be the case for a while. It's perfectly logical, from a species point of view. I also think that we are hardwired not to be able to believe our own lies, because of this. There is (99.9% of the time) a tell, for
