I second Gajim especially 1.0.0 version that looks good. There is also https://dino.im but that's still in alpha.

For the record you don't need to use Tor in conversations, it depends on your threat model but using Tor protects against middle man figuring out which services do you use. If you use third party server even when the message is encrypt

Oh sorry, I figured out that if a media company is serious they'd run the server for their journalists. https://conversations.im/ also uses E2E encrypted chats and I don't need to setup any "random VoIP numbe

> How is this "doubtful" advice? Whatsapp and Signal are literally the state of the art of encrypted messaging apps. There simply are no better options. What would you recommend instead? Custom XMPP server running as a Tor hidd

I think Google doesn't see the problem because they have internally all their dependencies copied locally. There is no fetching of external sources so for them the problem that some dependency URL is broken simply does not exist.

What do you mean by "secure package identifier"? Do you mean commit hash using strong hashing function or something else?

And this explicit choice is not some Y/N decision that can be easily overlooked but it's editing known hosts, so that the user understands the seriousness.

https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/RandomSourc... can be used to generate cryptographically strong random numbers. It's not as cheap as Math.random though.

Rebol/Red have more readable s-expressions as their syntax but the drawback is more complex evaluation rules.

I've got the double 4d dice (white) but it didn't occur to me that blank dice and a little bit of paint can just do the job. Thanks!

I was looking for a 4D dice with 8 sides, just dots from 1 to 4 and couldn't find it (the same one as used in Sorcery's Swindlestones) so I'd definitely be interested.

Wouldn't you need personal data to accept payments? Or maybe a broker (like Stripe) would store these and the end business just a reference to payment.

It's true that not every XEP moved out of draft status and that big players closed federation but there are new XEPs that are being worked on (OMEMO, HTTP Upload). Google and DDG do not provide Matrix servers and probably will never do

Excellent! Is there a place to look for progress on this front? IETF mailing lists? jmap.io?

Is there a way to use permanent free tier f1-micro without also triggering free trial 12 month? I don't want to use free trial right now but would want to test f1-micro.

According to Wikipedia DKIM was conceived in 2004 and SPF was standardized in 2005 (although designs date a few years before that). I wouldn't call them particularly new (it's almost 14 years now). Even DMARC was here in 2010, tha

The real world example as used by Mastodon uses signing to protect content but the process is kind of complicated (normalization of json to RDF triples etc.)
