Glenn Beck's article reeks of a promotional piece and I am somewhat skeptical of the reporting of his medical symptoms. It's like 'telephone' where a lot is lost in transmitting the information, because it doesn't s

I appreciate the replies. I learned a lot just reading some of these sources posted. I think I misused heritability regarding eye color and my numbers are probably dated.

The problem with any consumption tax is that wealthier people spend a smaller percentage of their income on needs compared to lower classes. If you make it progressive, they will just buy their most expensive items overseas and never (or hi

Among twin-twin studies of the effects of nature/nuture, I recall mathematical ability as being the most highly heritable at something like 50%. Even eye color is not that high, and so it seems to be true that intelligence (at least in

I agree that they are companies with promise, and certainly will be strong in their domestic markets... but I remain skeptical of their success in the West. I personally would not directly support Chinese businesses if I have an equivalent

It takes a lot of courage to stand your ground in these situations. Sounds like the classic South Park "Respect my Authoritah" sums up the cause of this confrontation.

The issue I have is regarding how this technology will be applied to a population. If this is for screening, then it has to be incredibly safe and cheap. If this is for follow-up of known cancer, then you aren't going for 'early d

Good lord, would people please stop taking the weakest part of my statement? Let's discuss the substance of this law.

I agree the parallel isn't exact, but it still represents the state limiting the dissemination of information. I would rather hear your opinion about the substance of the law rather than the weakest part of my statement.

I really have to rant about the idiocy of this law. For full disclosure, I am American. They call it a "right to be forgotten," but guess what, I have a right to information (speech, press, etc.) that I think supercedes this suppo
