Yeah the real reason to get on the plane first is bag space. With that said I do like Southwest’s method where the earlier you get on the plane the better your seat is. It incentivizes getting to the gate early and as such on time departure

I’m pretty sure humans still knew about the speed of light/radio waves being limited to c which is all you need to know to develop GPS. Time running slower on GPS would be an issue eventually though. Relativity does make it easier

At least for now rental cars just don’t work as EV’s economically the idea of a rental car is a cheap shitty car that I can trash without too much concern. The car goes to shit in a year or two and gets pawned off for nothing. This is fine

I think they didn’t wait long enough tbh The experience you get is probably better than any existing VR headset but I struggle to see myself valuing it at more than $500. The FOV and resolution still both suck and the headset is super bulky

Cost plus contracts are a mistake. If you get paid to do something, it should be for a fixed price not a variable number that encourages you to waste as much taxpayer money as you want. If you can’t do it for that price you need to increase

Simple game emulators like Delta don’t need JIT since a static interpreter works. Anything better needs JIT to run at a reasonable speed

You can run Linux software on iOS via iSH. Efforts to get anything more powerful on iOS is limited because JIT is restricted to web browsers only.

When you book a US flight ticket there’s a $5 fee for the hassle of getting you through airport security. If you allowed anyone to get into the secure area you would have to charge people that fee to make it back. Although some US airports

I mean NASA launches through SpaceX because they’re the cheapest provider of mass to orbit. NASA is making a lot efforts to not use SpaceX for everything like the lunar lander program but is limited by the fact no one else is seriously comp

The common thing in the US is “your right to swing your arm around ends at my face”, if you promote lies and people get hurt or die as a result you’re reasonably accountable for it.

I think this is unlikely to replace all flights either- the flights that do exist are probably for people arriving in Narita to get to Nagoya more quickly than getting out of the airport, taking a 1 hour local train to central Tokyo, then t

I’ve gone on a train between Seattle and Vancouver and back before and it’s relatively easy, you pretty much do all your immigration in Canada and you can just walk off the train in the US

Pokémon prism was DMCA’d right when it was about to release because there was a bunch of press about it coming out soon so Nintendo DMCA’d it. Although it mostly survived unscathed because a late beta leaked and another dev team took over i

I mean the actual Model 3 costs roughly the same as the Prius Prime. A 25k EV would look closer to something like the Nissan leaf or the Chevy volt with about 150-200 miles of range instead of 300+ and generally worse build quality.
