Maybe not something at the micro scale of the Macintosh where everything was designed from scratch but me and a few other people designed and made our own rocket flight computer out of sensors and an NXP 32 bit microcontroller in college.

I don’t think I’ve ever gotten language syntax wrong but ChatGPT will happily tell you to use functions that don’t exist or use them incorrectly. Also yes Bing sources aren’t necessarily quality sources but they are more aligned to reality

I like to use the Bing AI for that because ChatGPT can sometimes hallucinate while Bing will use its knowledge + stuff from websites which makes it a more reliable source for things which should match reality.

Lol they will find some excuse like “the officers feared for their lives and acted in the best interests of the community” or something regardless of how many guns they have. Militarization of the police has nothing to do with it

The biggest problem with Mastodon is that 3 instances comprise 50% of all traffic. That’s not that bad but that creates the conditions for the largest X instances to become Mastodon Inc., use VC money to fund advertising for their site and

I’ve taken dev satellite modules through TSA screening before and it was “fun”. My old boss apparently flew with either part of or an entire satellite’s flight hardware in a suitcase once which sounds terrifying

The last product launch Apple did that truly would have encouraged a reaction like that would maybe be the M1 macs. Otherwise the iPhone and most of their other products change too little year over year for that to happen

I will say that the left leaning social policy in the US seemed silly to me at first until I became better friends with people who are in those groups and a bit of it is still silly but it does make a lot more sense from their perspective.
