I 100% guarantee you SpaceX didn’t realize “oh wow it turns out Starlink is great for military applications. Wow we never realized that!” SpaceX makes tons of money off of military contracts and this is totally something they would have see

There are other factors that stop the kind of life we see on earth from appearing earlier in the universe’s history. For example the first stars (the pure hydrogen ones) could not have had planets that supported life and they burned too hot

I think another obvious answer would be to make community college classes available to prisoners. In California (and other places) it’s very easy to get community college for free regardless of income level. Doing this more widely and offer

The universe is huge, if intelligent life exists outside the local group we have basically 0 way of being able to contact it, let alone visit it.

From what I’ve heard it’s completely plausible for pre industrial human civilizations to have existed and been wiped out in the past but anything past that point would leave things like heavy metals we could detect in the geological record.

Not necessarily, from what I heard humanity being alone is actually an extremely plausible solution to the Fermi paradox because we exist close to the beginning of the total lifespan of the universe.

Not being able to move faster than c is a pretty hard limit on everything in the universe. Unless our model of physics, the same one that predicted gravitational waves, black holes, time dilation, gravitational lending, etc. correctly is so

What about the bolt EUV? It’s not a large car by any means but it is the size of a very small SUV meaning it is just on the edge of the smallest car a US consumer will willingly buy.

I mean all of these projects have hilariously low budgets lol The biggest budget on this list is $37 million, that’s a decent amount of money but you can’t launch a human habitat to the moon for that price.

Honestly that’s not something I had really ever thought about, how smartphones are mandatory for children in 2023. I got my first phone in 2014 when I was in 8th grade, a used iPhone 4S without a data plan, and because maybe about 50-75% of

With that said one easier way to increase road safety is to reduce the width of lanes since people drive fast proportionally to the size of the lane, not the speed limit.
