Sony spent 20+ years building up and planning their 1st party studios. Microsoft could do that too, but it would take 20 more years. They don't have the time for that and acquisition is really their only option. I don't like it ei

Why would we need two? I would think the next one 20+ years from now would hopefully be exponentially better.

TSMC's largest customers are American though. Apple, Nvidia, and AMD. These companies sourced their chips internationally to TSMC for cost reasons, related mainly to labor. They're to blame. There's a compounding effect too.

I can't take Breaking Points seriously. It's basically a mainstream media dunkfest that rides the line of being right-wing full blown crazy - which I suspect is a good chuck of their audience.

Yeah, I agree there's some waste and boondoggles. I'm just arguing that they're necessary in order for government to function.

I don't understand why people are so opposed to pork spending? Pork is how things got done historically. Sure on the surface it's wasteful, but it promotes compromise and greases the wheels of government. None of the great works i

It's fairly clear what the exit criteria is. Hospital capacity. When hospitals are filling up COVID measures are necessary. COVID is endemic now and will ebb and flow over the next decade. As such I would expect COVID measures to come

Personally the biggest thing holding me back from buying a non-Tesla is the Supercharging network. Infrastructure for any other manufacture isn't there yet and its going to be a few more years before anything else is as good.

This is because the west has outsourced our manufacturing and therefore our emissions to China. We're all responsible for it, so don't just blame "the other". The world needs to reduce its emissions. A big part of this

Not OP, but yeah the market has clearly changed. Everything we consume today and media in general has been fractured, organized into subcategories, and is now delivered by algorithms. I my opinion the problem isn't that there is no dem

Most people can charge at home overnight. According the US census 65% of adults own their own home. Sure infrastructure needs built out for the remaining 35% of renters. However the demand won't be there for a while since most renters

Here's the thing, you don't NEED social media. It's not a utility. Your quality of life won't diminish if you don't have access to it. I suggest deleting it and not using it for a few months and see how you feel. I

I canceled cable in 2009 and have been collecting media for 10+ years. It's grown into around 60TB and has become effectively my own personal streaming service that I share with my family and a handful of close friends.

I'm more concerned about predicable rain patterns than warmer weather. What happens if rainfall in America's breadbasket starts to decline? Even a small sustained change could have deep ramifications.
