I've talked to the CrashPlan folks recently, and they have been working on native clients for a while now. They wouldn't tell me a release date of course, but it's in the works :)

Interesting! I've always been able to read pretty darn quickly, but I've never played with RSVP before. I gave spreeder a try and found that with a chunk size of three words, 2000wpm is surprisingly comfortable and 2500wpm is pus

Very neat. Making the screenshot animated might give an even better idea of how it works and make the page a little more dynamic/involving. Do you have any plans to have it analyze the trace(s) and give the user suggestions on what to

Very nice! I see you've got Simulink, but you could consider adding the associated state machine editor Stateflow: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stateflow

Having worked in the flight test industry in a 'prior work life', nothing that this article describes sounds especially interesting or novel. I think what happened is that when the planes started getting technologically intense an

It would be cool if someone created the inverse of this, where you could input a signal (audio) and have it show the fft decomposition circles moving around in real time :)

As a thought experiment, what would happen if the GC was removed altogether? What consequences would that have (good and bad)?

I went through a number of Windows backup solutions to find one that worked for my Dad, and in the end the one that we were the most happy with was Genie Timeline. It works quite similar to Time Machine on OSX, and includes both system rest

My experiences would tend to agree with you; I worked at The MathWorks (makers of MATLAB) for a while, and I was a little surprised when I noticed that the hard-core devs who developed the guts of the language (parsers, JIT, data structures

Neat. A couple thoughts: 1) it took me some time to figure out that I could scroll a given column when the mouse is over it... Also when the mouse is over a non-column area (background on far right/left) it would be useful if scrolling

One advantage I've found of this approach is that the graphical overview of the wiring makes spotting architectural 'code smells' easier, which makes it easier to refactor as you go instead of realizing the poor structure far

In a similar vein to LabVIEW, I've used MathWorks' Simulink and its Stateflow FSM environment quite a bit over the years and I've found that the most effective way to use it is to have your functions written in standard textu
