I don't know of any public resources on the topic, or of any law firms that are particularly adept at this. However, I have seen it done in practice. I'd recommend talking to a law firm that's well versed in startup corporate

One way to avoid the whole stock option / RSU mess is to structure your company as a C-corp that is wholly owned by an LLC, and give your employees membership units in the LLC. This is a very unusual setup and it'll take a good la

I am probably exactly your target market. But I'm also very particular about the way I fly and optimize for status. The variables in my case are that I'm only really interested in UA flights out of SFO. The likelyhood of a deal li

I don't know I'd be willing to pay $8/mo for a service where I don't know if the notifications will be timely enough or of actually good deals. But I would happily pay 10-15% of the ticket price as a finder's fee fo

Even though it's slower, I avoid the latter form as a matter of style. I think it's super important that if a method yields, it's shown in the method signature. Otherwise, your code won't be self-documenting, and it'

EDIT: my napkin math turns out to have been closer to "toilet paper math" because it was completely wrong. See child comment for details. Interestingly, Charmin as a brand has revenue around ~2.5B[1], which when multiplied by P&am

Not to mention that you'll probably have to pay for those options at a strike price equivalent to a valuation of $3M+. You only make money on the difference. You'd end up with a sub-100k pay day.

This has always been my favorite way to generate IDs, though I typically do it with a 64bit integer and a custom epoch. Being able to store keys as 64bit integers is much easier to work with, and also much more efficient than b64 encoding.

Curious, why the resurrection? Personally, I found the post distasteful, though not enough so to merit a flag. I think its us-vs-them tone and cherry-picking of facts makes it very easy to dismiss outright. I think that does the women in ou

Selling $11M in bitcoin on the open market would likely crash the market. According to blockchain.info, the average day sees about ~7M USD of bitcoin traded. Not to mention any of the negative signaling if people got wind of the sale.

You can get between any two places in SF in less than 30 minutes by hopping into an Uber/Lyft. And the distances are small enough that that trip will never be unreasonably priced. Plus, everything that matters in tech is located in eit
