If you even read my comment, I'm not even comparing Duterte to Trump, I'm comparing your logic to Trump's supporters' logic of holier than-thou, media is biased non-sense. Yes the media can be biased, but in this case, h

Sorry, but Duterte has literally gone on record to state that even normal citizens should kill drug addicts: "If you know of any addicts, go ahead and kill them yourself as getting their parents to do it would be too painful." You

The Philippines love authoritarian figures. The son of Ferdinand Marcos (dictator who instated martial law, under which the country was plunged into a climate of repression and plunder), Bong Bong Marcos almost won the vice presidency with

Wow. I've been very impressed with Microsoft lately. They could have easily set themselves up as the next IBM, in the sense of being a monolithic corporation relying on corporate practices, but they've been spewing some crazy fun

I had the same use case as OP. Cloud 9 was an awesome way to start out, but we indeed switched to a VM solution. With students that had less than performant laptops, C9 filled the gap.

Acqui-hiring at its finest. Amazon just wants to get Surefour. In all seriousness though, I agree with the general sentiments here. I really hope C9 doesn't get shutdown, it's incredibly nifty and I've found it saving my butt

Totally awesome work! It would be great to get some comparison tables (size, compatibility, speed) for the common animation libraries (velocity, tweenmax/lite, etc) Also digging your personal site!

BTW to parent, one big advantage of react-native over ionic is that it's not a wrapped web app, but a javascript/react app that compiles to an actual native app. The performance difference and development experience (no silly css

The takeaway of course is that most of those probably want to pick up Angular 2 because they used Angular. I made a conscious switch from Angular to React because React (and the flux pattern) really did reinvent how web components are built

This may indeed be true, but I've found the performance penalty to be acceptable for my use cases. There ARE times where I had to optimize though (HTML5 game developer, and we target mobile so this is expected) but for the most part &#

Funny. JS is my main language, and I personally also don't know most of the intricacies of JS, and we seem to share the same mindset. I mean, I do know common pitfalls and I can use `this`, etc., it's just that I find it's ea

This is too true. I've had a software engineer complain to me at how unfair his last interview was because they asked "esoteric javascript" questions in a front-end javascript development position. I asked him what questions

Does Atom still feel slower? I've used Atom before and it did feel sluggish, and using VSCode for TypeScript really felt lightyears ahead from Atom. (maybe a bit unfair of a comparison since it's most likely nicely integrated for

I don't know, a lot of the games here are simple enough they can be made in HTML5/canvas. In fact, their written in Haxe, and that can target HTML5 as an export (performance might be a bit touchy though)
