I had to install software (GWX) and keep it updated in order to prevent Microsoft from trying to trick me into installing Windows 10 and nagging me every 10 minutes to "upgrade". Perhaps not malware, but not a huge leap away from

Ironically, Windows 10 is probably the Microsoft OS that is going to push me full time to using Linux. Right now I use Linux for work, but home network, and laptops (except 1 Mac) all run on Windows 7/8. However the underhanded tactics

You know, I have heard this argument used a few times. If you are intelligent, you voted to remain, if you are not intelligent, you voted to leave. So blame lack of intelligence on not getting a vote you wanted, because people that disagree

I was part of the banking system for many years - it is unbelievably greedy. There is no respect for individuals, other than how much money they can make. Concepts like loyalty and service have no meaning.

At no point have I mentioned scale of change or rate of change. That is irrelevant to the point I am making: that during a warming phase, average temperatures will be the highest they have ever been at the end of the time period under consi

Great idea but a word of warning to others that might try this. If you don't want your fish to die rather horribly, please understand the Nitrogen Cycle (and at least some fish husbandry) and test for it. For example: https:/

No idea why this is a surprising, even controversial result. We are are on the warming side of a recent (geologically speaking) ice age (actually glacial period) and we expect long term temperatures to be trending ever upwards.

My Logitech webcam has a built-in sliding mechanism to cover and uncover the camera lens. I doubt I would ever buy a webcam that does not have this. There should really be a blocking mechanism for laptop cameras as well.
