I would love to help with this! I don't know Erlang, but have been looking for an excuse to learn :) If someone is able to lead/maintain the project I can help answer questions/dev work. I just know how to write idiomatic Erl

The encryption for DataChannels is HW accelerated while video is not. I was able to convince people to change this one! So a developer can opt-in to the accelerated profile. https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/iss

Yes! It implements the standard PeerConnection API. The only code that is KVS specific is the signaling code (which you can easily not use) Officially supported. KVS is a public service with developers full time working on this library.

1.) Yes it does! It has OnDataChannel, you can set it on the PeerConnection. createDataChannel is a WIP, hopefully this weekend. 2.) Yes. The WebRTC peers can do Data only if they want. We provide STUN/TURN servers, and works with any

I am so glad you like them! Working on Pion and the KVS WebRTC stuff has been super rewarding because people want it. I have built so many things that flopped, so this is a welcome change of pace. Thank you so much for being part of the com

Have you done SCTP over the public internet? I haven't tried it myself, but always heard the only way to make it work was encapsulated in UDP.

Do you know of anyone that is interested in bridging that gap? I only have done user-space/embedded WebRTC. After Pion WebRTC I got hired to write a pure C WebRTC implementation [0] that is at around ~700kb. It does media + DataChannel

I think SCTP was a very good choice. Writing a SCTP implementation for Pion WebRTC[0] was really enjoyable. The SCTP RFC is well written and easily available [1]. Once you learn all the chunk types things start to fall into place. SCTP is a

I created Pion WebRTC so I am biased, but these are my thoughts * It is dangerous to say libwebrtc is the "right" one. That is the same attitude that created the browser monoculture with IE6. WebRTC is an IETF/W3C standard, a
