Exporting to .xls files it's pretty bad, so it's a no for sharing. Unfortunately, Google sheets does a better job here. I assume cloud office is the best in this case but haven't tried it.

SQlite is much more efficient if I dedicate one process to handle all writes and optimize that process for speed (i.e. batch writes, etc.). That increases complexity on the application side though.
