That sounds like an issue that could be solved by forcing icons and sizes for the tray.

I think because most of the stuff people complain about gets removed when you run one of the many debloat programs out there, ie; programs installing themselves, ads, popups asking you about things, onedrive, cortana, copilot, recall etc..

No matter what host it's on, even if you run it at your house, if something goes down you'll need to do the same. The internet as a whole relies on a huge variety of services all working as they should.

Obsidian is just a markdown editor, so the files are portable. The context is that the content and methods to publish it are not someone elses.

I'd argue it is, because it's portable to any other service. As in you own all the content and methods to generate it.

For sure, but for terms of battery wear all that really matters is the time to charge. Under 1 hour is getting into the realm of 'really fast' and heat inside the cell starts to become an issue.

It's basically as simple as a buck converter that reduces the incoming voltage. Phone batteries need either 4.2V or 4.35V to charge fully, so whatever voltage comes in (5-20V typically) at whatever current, gets reduced down to the cor

My Galaxy S21 lets me pick between normal, fast, or super-fast charging in the settings. Not quite one tap, but it does let you do it. That said "super-fast" charging on it is like 18W and still about an hour from 20%, so it doesn

Yeah I figure most of them work fine, otherwise I'd find more similar stories. We have about 10 of the M12 batteries, about half are the 3 cell ones and half the 6 cell larger capacity ones. And every single one has gone completely out

It's such a strange thing to do unless they wanted to intentionally make them have short lifespans. The M12s have the pins too for voltage sensing in the charger (and tool maybe?), but they have 1 mega ohm resistors in line so cannot b

Their M12 batteries don't have balancing (or a BMS inside), so they go out of balance and 'bad' very quickly. I've just added a balance plug to the outside of mine that I plug into my hobby Li-ion charger.

Peertube does P2P for both static videos and livestreams: https://docs.joinpeertube.org/ But the reality is for 99% of people Youtube and Twitch work just fine. Plus most residential ISPs have really poor upload speed, and

ChatGPT is frequently wrong with its answers, so yes search and forums and websites are still the best option. For example I asked it about rear springs for a 3rd gen 4runner and it recommended springs for a 5th gen.

Yeah I've tried the little track nub things but they don't work well for me, a good track pad is much quicker.

Having used old thinkpads I just don't really understand the appeal, especially with how poor old LCDs look. The trackpads are tiny, the battery life is abysmal, they're heavy and like an inch thick.

NUT is really hard to configure and crashes constantly the second anything goes wrong. I've never really had it successfully shut down my 3 servers. Would love something better.

My Garmin Venu 2 with an OLED display gets at least a week with a couple days of GPS usage for walks too. I don't understand how anyone is willing to buy a watch that barely lasts a day.

3 glasses of soft drinks is an insane amount of sugar on a daily basis, so if you have to do it you're probably better off with the aspartame.
