iOS blocks access to the wifi info needed as I remember, it's why you don't really see any wifi scanner apps on it.

This sounds like it doesn't have anything to do with Lightroom, but is instead file corruption caused by some kind of bug. Lightroom catalogs also don't contain any images, I think a lot of people are confused and think it does.

The catalog only contains the edits and changes to an image, it doesn't actually contain any images. Lightroom can move or copy images to a new folder for you, but they're still just normal image files you can open with any suppor

Is it not on the site maybe? So far I haven't been able to find anything but the 128GB option.

Unless it's really specific content that wouldn't even be possible, I assume you just don't get your stuff backed up lol

$99 a year for 128GB of backup space is really high, but I suppose it's partially paying for the OS updates or something like that? I also wonder about name confusion with Helm the Kubernetes management system.. That said it looks like

I have a voip.ms number left over from another project, and it does support SMS although I've had fairly crappy luck getting it to work for services that need it for 2FA. Seems like there's no good option, as VOIP numbers are fair

I'd be amazed if many people are using reddit via browser on mobile, when there are so many good open source reddit apps out there.

This looks great, but there's no chance I'm going to use it on this detaspace service, since their website doesn't even explain what it does.

The difference is you know what you set up, and could move it to another server if needed. This detaspace thing is like saying that Amazon S3 is self hosted because you can upload your own files to it.

What is a "personal cloud" in this context? I can't see how I could have full ownership of it since I didn't set it up and have no idea how it works. It comes across as very 'black box' and hidden behind the sc

It's not at all like self hosting it, sounds like it's just running on some servers located somewhere, and is completely unknown to the user. I'm also surprised it's that difficult to convert to self hosting, it makes me

Agreed, I started with rack mount stuff and quickly moved away from it. Very loud and for the budget stuff frequently used by homelabs, very power hungry for not that much performance.

What is a 'sats'? What is the list of services used for? This needs a lot more explanation built into the site!

Everything else was/is much worse. Even years later it's still the only platform I know of that combines text chat rooms, voice chat rooms, and video streaming into one place, all accessible from your 'server' as they ca

It's crazy how many instances are setup to be accessible from the internet, but they don't bother to secure it.

Yes, but you could also randomize your IPv6 address constantly too. Downside of CGNAT and NAT at home is difficulty of getting some services to work, or hosting a server.

You can see from the screenshots that Google sent with the rejection that they have it loaded in Chrome. Most obvious indicator is the 40 other tabs they have open in their browser on the top right.
