Neat, maybe it'll let me get gigabit wifi speeds in reality when not right on top of the AP.

Do you need a Pi specifically? A used usff sized box with a 4th or 6th gen Intel CPU can be found for under $100 if you poke around ebay. It'll be a much faster CPU, much faster storage, more RAM, and only uses about 5-10W of power. I

A few things come to mind (I use bitwarden myself). - "Folder: No Folder" is a bit confusing, it would be better to just require a folder when creating an entry. - Collections vs folders is also a little confusing unless you spend

You can use a private instance with the chrome addon, just set your server URL in the settings like usual.

The service also has to read your email to send/receive, and needs to parse the to: field at least to figure out where to send to. If you're worried about that I don't email is a good choice for you.

ShareX fits the bill. Also a fantastic screenshot tool. And will auto upload to tons of different online services, your own services, or just store locally.

A modern mirrorless from Panasonic/Sony/Olympus likely does basically everything that magic lantern does. They're so far ahead of DSLR bodies at this point. Sony full frame mirrorless is generally the go to if you want a larg

It's technically a recurring donation too if you want the current versions, for €20 you get 1 year of updates.

Yes, that's one reason I'm really not sold on storing private data on IPFS and similar services.

If you use this make sure you sign up with a CC number that's limited to a few dollars. Also getting an instance is tough, they're in short supply.

Windows defender is perfectly adequate these days, and it's already there so might as well make use of it.

Looks like a pretty decent solution for the average person, I like it. My OnePlus 7 Pro has a feature that's supposed to limit charging based on your usage habits, but in reality it never works and always charges to 100%, and you can&#

And then for even more fun, phone manufacturers come up with their own stupid USB-C fast charge tech like 'Warp Charge' on my OnePlus phone, instead of using any existing standard.

It's such a weird concept to me that it's up to individuals and companies to figure out how much tax to charge. Since the governments are collecting taxes it should be their responsibility to provide all the plugins and integratio

I feel like the current state of forums kind of sucks. Discourse is the common one I see and it's not that great, it loads weirdly sometimes, it's a bit hard to read threads with the layout, and it's just not that nice to use

That's more an apt thing, dnf can use delta rpms with parallel downloads and automatically cleans unused packages. I'm not sure how well it cleans the cache though. On my fast home connection dnf is way faster than apt to update m

My experience is just limited hobby stuff, but it sounds very similar to the other static site generators out there I've used that do auto-reload on changes.

It's surprising how many around me are on facebook but haven't added themselves to google or apple maps. Especially since I feel like people visiting are more likely to pull on their map app to find local places to go to.

Well that is part of the problem too, solutions may be fairly easy to find (assuming it's for the right distro and version you're running), but sometimes it feels like there are just endless problems that need fixing.

After looking through the website I'm quite confused. It looks like you just edit HTML/CSS as you normally would with the many static site generators out there. What part of it is the GUI builder? I was expecting to see something

There are also other S3 providers with much more sensible pricing, like Backblaze B2, Wasabi, or Cloudflare R2.

I'm amazed that AWS doesn't let you set billing limits, that seems like a good reason to use a different service to me!
