With Facebook and Google racing to beat each others free products, could this mean Microsoft may have just wasted $8.5 billion? This is a real question, I don't really use video chat much at all. edit: Or at least massively devalue their in

Just reading your comment, it occurred to me that this is an editor problem. What we actually need are editors in which you can set you language (haml, slim, less etc), and then those are compiled and saved, in realtime to html, erb, css et

I have seen this claim a few times, but noone ever gives any real reasons as to why. A monopoly born through a superior product is not the same as a monopoly born through anti-competitive practises. Noone is forcing or coercing anyone to us

That's awesome to hear. I actually know a bit of C, but it has been years since I used it - so this book seems like a good one to read to 'reboot' my C skills. I'll definitely be waiting anxiously for you to finish. Good luck!

Having read a fair bit of LPTHW (though I had no actual interest in the language), I am really excited about this. One of the best things about LPTHW was the context it was written in, and if LCTHW is written in the same way, it should be a

How so? No one is forced to use any of Google's products - Bing and Facebook are only a click away. A monopoly born from having a superior product is not the same as a monopoly gained through the practises of price fixing or forcing people

The 10th most common password was far too interesting for me to ignore. While it is fairly easy to type, its not easy enough for it to be some sort of tap-password. Having a closer look at the list, and assuming the dump is organised in som

This patch seems to introduce a bug when loading files with extra periods in the name (I think). My app which includes thinking-sphinx (which has a require '0.9.9'), breaks with it.

I haven't used sorcery, but I have just finished quite a large rails project in which I decided on Devise right at the start. It was great in the beginning, but as soon as I needed custom behavior, it became more of a liability than a help.
