Some of these tests are doing concurrency. Some are doing parallelism. Concurrent meaning multiple tasks run within a given stretch of time. Parallel meaning multiple tasks run at a given point of time. These are not the same. So the tests

I cleaned my phone usb connector like this last week, after the charging cable wouldn't go in, because something was lodged in there. Just used a pin I found on the wall at work to scrape it out. No problem ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Rich Harris (Svelte creator) gives his counter arguments in his most recent talk: https://youtu.be/uXCipjbcQfM He describes the drawbacks of mixing backend and frontend code in the same file in the Implicit DSLs section.

I've had this as a kid when I had a fever, and also get it reliably as an adult when I'm exhausted and too warm and trying to sleep. I have to get up and cool down and do something calming like staring out the window for a while,

The steep curve of Remix is really beautiful. One possible way of interpreting it is that it is coasting of React, and isn't starting from as low a starting point as Svelte and Solid have to. Just the mere fact that Solid is showing a

Too closed off to the world. You can't win over the world if you are closed off to it. Elm has been going nowhere for ages now, and will continue to go nowhere, as long as they keep not listening and don't give people what people

It's hard to leave hooks when you are using React, as they are everywhere. What people do instead is use something else next time they start a project. Just look at the exponential growth of Solid: https://npmtrends.com/

There are currently two new web frontend frameworks that are sharply on the rise: Svelte and Solid. Both do away with much of the complexity of React.

Those are tradeoffs. Lifecycle methods had pros and cons. Hooks have other pros and cons. Lifecycle methods had the right pros and cons for most devs. Hooks are horrible for new devs, as they have to many gotchas, and there far too many peo

This should really be an explicit goal of a frontend framework and a pain point I have encountered often in React and Angular. How are you supposed to debug stuff if the stack trace isn't even legible?
