Almost all of Europe is north of the 42nd parallel, which is about even with where Illinois borders Wisconsin. Berlin only gets about 9 hours of visible light today.

It's interesting to see a claim in the article that Wikipedia disputes. Texas Monthly: "Lipscomb said that the unusually large fruit is a remnant of prehistoric times, once eaten by massive, now-extinct animals like the woolly mam

I have a Casio 101 keyboard that I bought in 1987 and a $15 MIDI-to-USB cable. It's hard to describe how satisfying it is to see it continue to work as an input device for a computer manufactured in 2022.

Was it the grid? The linked article only says "power outage", but doesn't mention a grid failure. Do you have another source with details?

"It is a felony to knowingly give false statements" I think that's only true if you lie to a federal agent. Lying to a cop is usually a misdemeanor. Depends on the state and the circumstances.

Would you say that title sort of buries the lede, then? We gained 180 million bushels of spring wheat, but dropped 750 million bushels of corn.

I subscribe to FT and get the physical paper. What makes it so useful to me is that its political bias is largely divorced from American politics. They may have a bias on topics in Britain, but my American sensibilities aren't tuned t

You said you're fit, but it's still possible to have sleep apnea. Incidentally I had it and never knew about it until I had the sleep study. I never woke up gasping for breath or anything like that.
