further evidence of WSDOT incompetence is the cracking pontoon issue(s) on the 520 replacement span. For this sin, commuters will pay tolls on I90.

Also true for private pilots. People between 40 and 100 hours are pretty good, but from 100+ there is a rise in overconfidence. More people need to read the "I learned about flying from that" series of books, which is a collection

I had a Canon P&S that did this in 2003 or so. It was nice - whiteboard mode was used after every meeting.

It's easy to find trilinear bibles. I didn't find any editions of Divine Comedy under that name (or bilinear, which seems more likely to exist)

We use Duktape at AllSeen Alliance (disclaimer: I work there) to put JavaScript bindings on small devices. https://git.allseenalliance.org/cgit/core/alljoyn-js.git/sum...

Indeed. I rip everything losslessly and batch re-encode when I switch music players (man, I miss my Zunes)

A communication vault, built much like a burial vault (seriously, it's usually one company that casts both). It is made of thick concrete, buried underground, and (with a water intrusion alarm) fairly well protected from above-ground i

Sadly, you cannot copy the MP3s off an iDevice using Pocket Casts. I wanted to build an archive of a couple podcasts, and lost months of episodes when I wanted to replace my iPad.

Your parking is off by at least a factor of two, even more if you buy a pass.

I suspect the Chrome issue (which I've run into) is the slow rendering of Chrome's blank page. You touch to focus, type one character, and Chrome replaces the blank page with the rendered page, so the OSK shuts (or you lose focus)

I worked on this device. Every day we awaited the news that management had come to senses and cancelled the project. It was to my great surprise that it shipped at all.

How about something like SHIP2? They print the shape in the green and compress it using gas. This allows 3D printing of Inconel in shapes that require almost no machining after production. [0] http://www.summitmaterials.com/

My favorite perk, from any job I've had, was being allowed to insert a POI[0] into the USGEO[1] dataset before MapPoint 2000 shipped. The tradition lived on for a couple releases before it got canned. [0] http://en.wikipedia

The HR guy in the sexual harassment videos you had to watch every two years at Microsoft was fired for sexual harassment. No amount of training seems to overcome base desire.

That's exactly what Google did to Microsoft when they opened the office in Kirkland. About six people in my group left right away, and I'm sure dozens more since then. And the reaction by Microsoft was exactly what you describe. I

It's interesting to me that Google is doing this. I was at Microsoft when they decided receptionists weren't a core competency they wanted. They kept tightening up when was - as an STE at the time, you could see that role was not

I agree the article is alarmist drivel, but you greatly overestimate the difficulty of assembling a lower. Furthermore, there is pretty much no way to misassemble one in a way that would cause an explosion.

I don't know what a purchase permit is. In Washington, Oregon, and Idaho guns are cash and carry.

PSA blems are $45 on sale. LPK for $45 and a stock kit for $60 and you have a complete lower. One with a serial number, but there it is.
