When I was returning from Hong Kong a few weeks ago, the agent asked what city I was born in (fine) what hospital I was born in (I remember where it used to be, but I can't remember the name) and what the "number" of the coun

My mom and I are six feet tall; from Indiana. Took her to Amsterdam last year for a few weeks; she said it was the first time she didn't feel like a freak.

I will make the exact opposite argument: who would trust Cloudflare as a registrar, after they dropped Daily Stormer in a fit of pique?

Logged a bug in Xcode that was breaking our CI. This was never fixed. It was frustratingly easy to reproduce. Clear the process is broken internally (as source article says) as well as externally. I guess when you sit on the highest volume

I have all of my cell phones on DND mode and I have people send me an iMessage if they want a voice call. I tried to get my carriers to disable voicemail on my lines entirely, to no avail

Who owned the land that was purchased or acquired for the project? Which campaigns do they donate to? Are the areas of concern toxic waste dumps, old gas stations, or contain old pipelines that would be expensive to remediate?

When I went to get global entry, there were tons of people showing up 12 hours early.

Exactly. 23 and me helped find an older half sister, but the health stuff? Eh...

Her family might disagree that nobody else was hurt. The people tasked with cleaning her of the pavement may disagree, as well. Not all externalities of drug use are physical. I'm extremely pro-legalized everything. I find your callous

When I carefully read my records, I saw a bunch of random errors. I asked my PCP and surgeon how that happened; they said “probably transcription errors” I don’t have a lot of faith in the quality of the records

At one point recently someone noted on a X Ray that I had hepatitis. I asked my PCP; he said don’t worry, we don’t diagnose that with radiology. I asked that it be removed. No can do. AFAIK I’ll go to the grave with a note from a random rad

I kind of don't care. I don't think a lot about what's in what I eat beyond avoiding carbs and starch. I prefer the way you order steaks in, at least, Holland and Switzerland. The steak comes with nothing - which is almost al

I've noticed not only group movement, which I think everyone sees, but group dispersion. I will mark that up to "I don't shoot rifles enough to know how to shoot them" and move on :)

A long running argument: does leaving your silencer on cause a repeatable velocity delta? I suppose I could just break out the screens and find out, but it's nice to argue over beers.

this is great. In a previous life I would bid construction jobs, and it was noticeable how much dead space you would end up with in say, a high school or a prison. Nothing like this, though.
