Our member lists are public and the price of membership at every level is public. ETA: look here on page 9: https://pp-990-rendered.s3.amazonaws.com/201823199349304962_... it breaks down the income into broad buckets

Maybe I remember incorrectly, but I thought the template came from the default branch?
423.
by RyJones 7y ago
Agreed. Even as limited as it is it's a great feature

I played with this this week. I like it! I wish it kept the branch protection rules and the like if the new repo is in the same org, but overall, good times

as an owner of multiple orgs, I dislike that I can't disable new issues while retaining history.

Expensify does this

Strong disagree. I was at Microsoft post-conviction, and nobody wanted to put anything in writing.

I had the same experience. I had to try the hot canned coffee; I didn't try it again. Also: canned mixed drinks! Japan is truly living in the future.

I also just came back from Tokyo and Osaka; I was blown away by how many 7/11s there were and how close they were. The vending machines are amazing. One other thing I would like to import: the widely available, clean bathrooms all over

My guess is, if you opened a Python question, it would be closed as a dupe right away

Scrumfall is, sadly, widespread

This was my attempted solution. It works ok, but my father falls for just about every phone scam.

Another issue is moderators close questions as dupes without reading them. I used to hang out in the private slack for the cabal that runs one of the sites; I imagine other stack exchange sites have similar cabals that auto close/auto

It's pretty much the same across all of the properties, though. I quit using them; they're run poorly and, especially in system administration or programming areas, the quality is uselessly low

I saw that and wondered what was going on; it was a cool audio/visual experience. Never thought I would see or hear formations of warbirds over Manhattan

I returned a set of airpods. We both struggled to get the serial number of those things

I characterize this as "all PMs have perfect eyes and skin". The first iteration of the Microsoft Surface featured a micro SD slot that was unusable if you had anything less than perfect, pliable finger nails. I cracked a nail so

What is it?

Agreed. See also: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wf2VxeIm1no CGP Grey talking about water proof phones invading his shower times with podcasts

Customs at Basel airport was convinced I was hiding stuff I owed duty on Sure, if you owe duty on three weeks of dirty clothes?

by RyJones 7y ago
If you want extra attention all over the world, keep your clothes in Pelican cases. Customs always thinks I'm bringing something in - just my clothes, thanks, take a look.

I got email at work.

by RyJones 8y ago
Exactly my point. Confusing is with the common understanding when they mean something else. They aren't lying, exactly.

Don't get me started ;) I'm sure Amazon has stats on fraudulent transactions; would it hurt them to say "two sales per thousand are fraudulent"? Also, the light that burns twice as bright burns one eighth as long.

This is one of my hobby horses. 1/1 is a fraction. Don't say something is a fraction, say it's a small fraction, or express it in ppm or something

I've experienced this; my impressions of what other drivers were doing is rarely borne by the dashcam video.

my resting heart rate was high 30s-low 40s. I was put on propranolol and now my resting heart rate is in the mid 40s. I am the exact opposite of an athlete.

Lenn Pryor did say emails in the parent reply. "Email" is used both as a singular and plural, so I don't think his later reply is wrong, either.

I ask this question about metrics constantly. "If you had this information a year ago, what decisions would have been different?" It usually ends in dropping the request for another metric
