I believe that's because it saves bytes when generating a flattened preview image which for high resolution PSDs can be quite expensive to do losslessly. Can anybody confirm?

It would seem that way, but high profile (or high ego) designers look down on working "in-house," as maintaining a single brand image over the course of years becomes incredibly tedious after even just a few months. Creatives thri

Yep. An older CSS-only tabs trick involves using <label>s for hidden radio inputs and toggling visibility with the :checked pseudo class. From a screen reader supporting standpoint, this :target solution would be better if not for the

It is, actually, and in two instances, even. Type designers use software to automatically create all common kerning pairs and to then try its best to align them on its own, after which the designer goes through them one by one to correct th

And so we do. Two surveys placed mid-1800s average work weeks in manufacturing at close to 70 hours per week[1] with modern hours hovering around the common 40 hour work week, which is still actively being challenged[2]. 1. https:/&#x

The poor letter-spacing, or more accurately kerning, is that either the fonts in use don't have kerning pairs or they're being ignored, as web browsers seem to do. Printing from another typeface would solve the former, but in my e

Well, it's a good idea, but in typography sizing and spacing is entirely based on a slightly more abstracted approach: the baseline grid. The baseline is the imaginary line which runs across the bottom of type, and the grid's vert
