First impressions: the background image that took ~20 seconds to load - with white text on a white background that slowly revealed - it felt a little like 56k internet and I nearly left the page. I'd consider setting an alternative bac

I'm not 100% on whether this is serious or not, but what the hell: 1. My recent installs of node have required compiling from source to get anything remotely up-to-date, however there are packages for both, 2. Composer with the Packagi

In PHP I tend to do something like: dd(__DIR__.'/'.__FILE__.':'.__LINE__); Which prints out the current script and line, and then stops execution (where dd is var_dump+exit).

Implementation wise, it uses 75 image frames that are displayed according to percentage of the page scrolled. Before I looked, I thought this might be a HTML5 <video> controlled using the scroll events - wonder if that would be feasib

I've been turned off by the Angular docs (feels like how I found API refs intimidating when I started coding) - can anyone recommend an alternative or book?

I think it's a pretty good example to show that it supports the same embeddable-ness of PHP (which is great for prototyping).

Agree, this is probably premature. However the homepage does advertise 13.10 so it's probably imminent: > Ubuntu Server 13.10 with OpenStack Havana, are you ready?

I seem to remember reading an article about people doing this at Google(?) in a pretty poor state. Edit: I think it was this one: http://www.buzzfeed.com/reyhan/tech-confessional-the-googler...

This is either a syntax error or a HipHop idiosyncrasy (was HHVM in use in 2007?) $ php -r '$user = null; if ($user 0) { echo $user; }' PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '0' (T_LNUMBER) in Command line code on l

This is understandable however. If you get a 401 response the person knows that you have a private repository with that name, they just don't have access to it. A small information leak.

The logic happens server-side but the user's timezone is posted to /content (so I'm guessing yes).

I wonder if they'd allow the "name at the bottom of the site" to be a link, given that the grand prize here is personal exposure (as well as a warm fuzzy feeling for helping the project I guess).

"29.0.1547.76 m" works fine for me (must be the 'm'). Just takes a bit of time to load the view-source.

Seems your assets aren't available over SSL which is making the page render plainly. Looks like a good idea - GitLab CI recently added this to their CI component (builders run separately from the marshalling tool).

Ethics aside, this is a pretty large oversight on the part of DHL. All you need to stop the incrementing is to require a second param such as the recipient postcode or customer surname. Plenty of other companies get this right.
