The solution to that problem is simple. Map the Doom process to doomguy. If you die, the process ends! :) You could even add a bit of code that sends a message to the head sysadmin so if a newbie keeps attacking a big nasty and dying as a r

I don't think the motive would be to start a war with DPRK. What I am afraid of is the use of this incident as "evidence" that our nation needs more "cybersecurity". This could help pass legislation previously block

I will probably catch some flak for this, and it is only a personal opinion, but I honestly don't understand the fascination with devices that sacrifice so much external functionality for the sake of fractions of an inch/a few oun

For those unfamiliar with astrophotography, there are a few neat things to note about this image. Most of the larger points of light that have what looks like a cross going through them are actually stars in our own galaxy between the Earth

That isn't noise. Our own galaxy looks similar to that when looking at it in person with a telescope. This is a truly incredible image.

I wouldn't believe you if I didn't see this same thing in my backyard. When I point my telescope (a good ole dob 10' light bucket) into the sky on a dark night when the milky way is near zenith, it looks like someone has froz

> A high correlation corresponds to predictive power... That's a bold statement. And one that is unfortunately often times false. Spurious correlations pop up everywhere. They can be notoriously bad at predicting things, and care mu

The reasoning behind it not being oop seems misread. I meant Object Oriented Programming. I'm not sure how the c++ correlation refutes that. Did you mean something else?

Fair point, but showing these graphs complete with the outliers gives a very poor platform to base handing out algebra tests in interviews without establishing causality.

I really don't want to sound rude, but this sounds like a classic case of correlation not causality, and I could see the consequences really hurting some people. I am REALLY terrible at algebra (to the extent that I am borderline LD in

If you are both at the age of working on "making out with other people", I can assume you have quite a bit more living to do, and so does the girl. The funny thing about the teenage/young adult situation is that it's ver

I can't help but think this is a perfect example of the contrast between a programmer and a hacker. When I think of those who enjoy puzzles, or more accurately the mental process to solve said puzzles, I think of hackers. A programmer

Agreed. Whose to say something isn't wrong with the car and the battery explodes, causing him harm? He would probably turn right back around and sue Tesla. Not to mention the negative press. I don't blame them one bit.

You bring up a good point, but it seems as if Watson was designed with this in mind. If you notice in the JSON response, it lists this query as a factoid class. It may handle different queries with different attributes differently, such as

Speaking of weasel words, you use the word definition in place of concept. Atheists do have a concept of God. Otherwise the argument of what an atheist is would not only be moot but would in fact never arise as an argument.

Can't help but think you are a shill. This is obviously corpratized fluff, and you have only commented on two threads, both of which deal with Comcast.
