Yes, you mention 'safety issues'. Can you imagine the liability insurance you'd need to have in order to run a business where you have autonomous flying robots with packages suspended from them flying around? Holy crap. There

I think in future versions it'd be amazing to get the size of each 'pixle' down a bit and maybe embed an RGB LED so you don't need overhead projection. The demo video is really amazingly cool.

In that case, it should be Memphis TN. Large FedEx hub, and maybe you could partner with the Memphis College of Arts. I know around where I live certain trade type schools (Is an Arts school a trade school?) are all over having partnerships

Good for you guys! This is another example of a product that I would never have thought of producing. How spread out is your business? It seems to me that a lot of larger conferences in the US are held in the LA or Vegas areas. Might you tr

This reminds me of an idea I've had. I think it'd be nice if there were a website where experts from a certain field could go and post their problems. Then knowledgeable people working in other fields with other backgrounds could

I like the craziness that this devolved into. It's funny when a bunch of people are all editing like mad. I had the thought that it'd be fun to have a contest using jsfiddle to start from some point, like the excel (lite) clone in

I'm sorry, but your hypothetical is bad for this scenario. This only works if, in addition to all of the other possible risks we all face in life, this CS grad could simply disappear because a CS student in the new freshman class is mo

Pandora for clothes shopping releases promo video, that sadly isn't narrated and thus will not engage users well. If I extrapolate from what I know about Pandora and substitute clothes for music I suppose I can guess what service is of

I think there's something to be said for acknowledging that your team isn't the smartest out there. I don't think being smart is, in and of itself, a guarantor of'success'. It seems to me that successful business is

The minimums hardly make these plans "Luxury Plans". The (very good) reason to have minimum coverage requirements is to push people from burdening the acute care system (ERs). This is necessary in order to keep overall health cos

I think you're missing the hypothetical above. I read it as "the law could have required insurers to bring policies up to snuff without increasing premiums". That presumably would have kept people from getting cancellation no

One of the scenarios they lay out on their site is students. I can see classes of students using this site to develop and share. My first thought was, we already have this it's called JSFiddle. If I want to just screw around or play wi

To broaden their horizons? Because they're interested in technology even if they don't define themselves as a programmer? Just curious: why would a person comment not to add value, but to ask a semi-snarky rhetorical question?

Coincidentally this view seems to be held most strongly by those actively trying to prevent the government from functioning efficiently (or at all). It's like purchasing a car, never doing any maintenance, and then when it dies saying:

Very interesting, thanks. I can see that others might try to nitpick it to death, but the case you make has genuinely never occurred to me[1]. [1]True, this may say more about me than it does about your point. :-)

That analogy is a fantastic failure. I was going to try to rebut it with some sort of home owner's association analogy, but why bother. The idea of the tax man as a thief in the night is just silly.
