This reads like a badly-explained piece of Taleb's most recent book "Antifragility". Taleb specifically mentions most of the points mentioned, "the focus on teams" and "learning from past mistakes". Granted, these are obviously a huge part

The U.S. has no past of consistently placing among the 'best' in the world as measured by standardized tests. We are not 'losing competitiveness' due to these countries because they are smarter. The United States' emphasis on allowing mis
