How I hoped this worked when I heard about it: Take photo of poster next to a credit card, it extrapolates the size based on the card, and automatically configures the frame dimensions to fit, so I don't have to measure anything. Just

My guess is that their strategy is to create a chilling effect by making an example of this guy. From their perspective, if smart people become more frightened to take on projects like this, their money was well spent. $10M is lunch money h

Astute of you to mention Palantir - I spent some time there a few years ago. To their credit, they took stunningly good care of me as an intern. Fair rate, and every perk I've ever seen listed by any company ever. However, I was very s

Dealerships are that hands off. In the same way that many smaller electronics could be fixed with a $0.15 capacitor swap, but the guy behind the counter at radioshack has no idea about the inner workings at such a fine level. The company ca

The salary range is the standout. That price range is in line with a junior agency position (read: someone who makes banner ads) in this area. Run of the mill lead design positions are typically in the 120-175 range at a small-med org. Beyo

I believe he was being facetious - seemingly flashy perks are very commonly used a substitute for actual money, and it works stunningly well. 5k in catering and laundry will shave 20k off an entry level salary more often than it should.

Conceptually interesting, but I agree with other commenters that tying a public login to an anonymous currency via an unvetted 3rd party that holds it for 3 months sounds more like a bad joke than any kind of real service. Huge signup frict

As a UIX designer/hobbyist finance geek: Building a common visual language to convey the health of securities is a fantastic, ambitious goal. I love it. With that said, this information is basically unparseable, especially at a glance.
