I think Bill's right. Anonymity for cash can enable many bad things, I can't think of many moral reasons for it.

I wish they'd make one with less premium content and minimal weight, priced and competitive with something like a GTI or Civic Si. I'd also like a Civic Type R, but the wait-list on those is just as silly. They're making grea

I've lived in Iowa. It was nice, but too cold for me. Ragbrai is supposed to be awesome (I didn't ride it, and regret this) and there's lots to be said about a clean, rural state with low cost of living. Hurrah for those who

Amazing, and interesting. I like HN for the programming news, but articles like this are frosting on the cake.

In a just world, any musician, actor or artist that 'steals' time from an audience to espouse political opinions should be subject to unlimited free file-sharing of their content. Yes, I like that idea.

My first business language. Sometimes I think about what it must be like to go back to COBOL today. There's probably money in it-- there can't be too many developers left! The environment is probably stable.... You'd just

You're right. CNN ran comically doctored glamour shots of Hillary Clinton, every picture of Donald Trump showed him in a bad light. It's alarming that so many outlets (on the left AND the right) are trying so hard to control the m

Trump won, so I imagine Assange will go free eventually. I'm glad Hillary lost, but don't believe the ends justify the means. In the end, this has all been a farce designed to fool us all. I suspect some of it worked, some of it

I heard an interesting comparison last week. This author noted that the farm equipment revolution threw a very high percentage of Americans out of work. They were forced off the farm and had to move to the cities (where the industrial age w

Are we to infer that racism is less prevalent in urban America? Oddly, I read not long ago that the most segregated schools in America are in New York city.

Gee, I wish this article were filled with more opinionated rhetoric and less facts. Yeesh. If teachers don't get paid enough in Oklahoma, things will balance themselves out one way or another. It always works. BTW, high-tax Califor

Yes, and everyone should be given free pizza for life and a new Corvette also. People need to make responsible decisions, that's all.

I'm with you. I'm a car nut, and I'd love a bare-bones performance EV. The instant torque sounds amazing. Just give me something that's affordable, reliable, as light as possible and all-weather capable. It's fin

Highly politicized article. If it were balanced, there should be some mention of medical scientists who have concerns for humans in development. Science has made tremendous progress in this area, but they are not covered in the media often

Count me among those who think a pause or dip is necessary now and then. If prices keep going up it's hard to buy, as Warren Buffet once said.

Awesome. I used to think very badly of Bill Gates. (New corporate PCs often came bundled with Word. The newest PCs wouldn't be compatible with older ones, so everyone had to constantly upgrade. It was a huge scam.) But it's nic

Does anyone else find it odd to make a smartphone app for EBT users? If I were broke, one of my first moves would be to go to a cheaper phone, maybe a flip-phone style. But maybe that's what the author meant by the trade of time and c
