Would love to read more about your time in NanoGPT. I've been getting familiar with it myself lately and it's still pretty much gibberish in the output with 16M, but the dataset is admittedly trash right now as well.

I recently moved to TubeSync and Jellyfin for YouTube videos. TubeSync will make a copy of the channel locally while applying Sponsorblock filters directly to the video file. It checks nightly for any new videos on the channel and Jellyfin

I'm not sure why it feels so weird either, but it definitely does. I was never a big fan of him personally, but have to agree with a lot of what he says. I think, for me at least, watching him work on a board while saying these things

That is going to be a factor in getting people to migrate. Convenience matters more than outrage. Lemmy's decentralization makes it a bother for most people. If they can't get instant gratification, they'll just go back to re

I have issues with Ubuntu. When I switched to a Unix based environment 12 years ago, I did what was expected of anyone at that time. I read up and learned about my environment. It seems that users (end users that is) simply do not think tha

I talked about this back in December of last year at a conference. They actually announced this at an EU conference back then. The original plan was for Windows 8 to allow a genuine Unix stack to co-exist along side the Windows kernel. In a

While the statistics are interesting, one of the reasons I love this site is it leaves the politics to the other sites. Not that I am discouraging the avocation of any candidate. I simply came here partially to escape the online political w

We've found an interesting use for it in our offices already. I tossed it on our main server and we're using it in conjunction with our version control system to keep track of who is working on what, what has been completed, and to ask ques
