I'd be okay with a paid subscription service if I got privacy and some other things as well. There's room for both free and pay. Duckduckgo is ok, but not google. Would be nice to have google, without the bias and without the priv

I had a subscription early on but cancelled. Mostly a matter of taste. I like older movies so the criterion channel is useful. I can't stand series. I use that time/money towards audible instead.

I've run into quite a few people who denounce amazon and then say they shop at abebooks. I will add, it gets really annoying having to use different sign ins. I collect old rare cookbooks. So sometimes I'm on the italian, french a

Just an idea that popped up. One could probably develop a couchsurfing/airbnd style app so to speak where people with rvs/motorhomes could find rental spots to go hook up for the night. That probably wouldn't do much for peop

I buy criterion still. I'll use amazon and netflix but more or less prefer dvd. Also I like a lot of old movies, not all of which are available for streaming.

Fair. But that's not totally why I dislike my electric car (Nissan). I mention the modern stuff just to highlight the car has significantly better entertainment systems. The nissan compared to the gas (a porsche) is an unfair fight. Ho

Sort of related but not exactly.. and I'm sorry if this is controversial... I just prefer my gas car over my electric car. My gas car is older, the cd play doesn't work however the radio does. I could replace it. I just don't

Christina Sommer's "The War Against Boys"* is pretty relevant. * Not "The War on Boys", it's the "The War Against Boys", my bad.

Incentives are certainly skewed currently with write offs for losses etc not necessarily encouraging prevention of food waste. For the in store products, I think automation could eventually be the key but obviously we're sometime away

I've seen my grocery store sell corn from Argentina and other places. So maybe the original commenter is thinking of out of season stuff shipped from other countries?

Increase investment into labor costs. Hire people who actually know a thing or two about cooking (that would mean hiring people with culinary training, not just people who perform well in the interview process.) You can convert pretty much

Future is iffy to predict, one could include overbudernsome regulations and heavier than expected taxes. Sort of depends on which way the politics shifts. Generally the pendulum ends up in the center after swinging left to right etc. So who

"people are going to get thrown under the bus", can include rich being over taxed to pay for free college for the masses. My statement was meant to be broad in that someone is going to get screwed, rich or poor.

I tend to lean libertarian, so that's my bias. I'll be upfront with that. That said, I'd be okay eliminating student loans both in government and even in private markets. Like private personal loans take over. I think it woul

I asked this is in the other thread on this topic, when did the Obama-era rules emerge? If anyone has the bill info that would be ideal. I've been trying to find stuff on google but it's flooded with the current news.
