I moved away from desktop Linux a few years back after getting a new development laptop with a hiDPI screen and running into fractional scaling issues. Windows wsl2 was just getting real good at the time, so I moved over on my desktop and l

I'm already seeing people becoming enamored and proud of output quantity over quality. There were always people off focusing on tangents and low value efforts. Now they can drown an entire team or org in low effort(or low valu) slop. I

I use GitHub Copilot and unfortunately there has been a weird regression in the bundled Plan mode. It suddenly, when they added the new plan memory, started getting both VERY verbose in the plan output and also vague in the details. It'

Exactly. Really frustrating they don't advertise TTFT and etc, and that it's really hard to find any info in that regard on newer models. For voice agents gpt-4.1 and gpt-4.1-mini seem to be the best low latency models when you ne

Oh.. I thought maybe these would be upgrades to gpt-4.1 and gpt-4.1-mini and etc.. But the latency is way too high compared to the 400-600. Yeah, different models and etc but the naming is confusing.

The semantics described in the high-level language are absolutely maintained deterministically. With agentic coding the semantics are not deterministically maintained. They are expanded, compressed, changed, and even just lost; non-determin

The bloat problem is already out dated though. People are having the LLM pick the MCP servers it needs for a particular task up front, or picking them out-of-band, so the full list doesn't exist in the context every call.
