To give credit though it was a largely republican congress that did it. You just need a democrat in the White House to motivate them.

Nope. I think all this is mostly virtue signaling and a bit of "GitHub derangement syndrome" in the water. People are ANGRY about the AI boom impact right now and "microslop" is trending harder than "M$" back i

It's not the source of the pressure per say, but it's the transmission medium. There are other outlets for pressure like regular demo days and etc. Ultimately yes the true source of the pressure is coming from the "tribe"

I'm not confusing anything. I am 1000% unconfused and entirely on the same wavelength as OP. You're inability to wrap your head around the analogy is tantamount to.. Not being able to comprehend blue-green.

I don't find this compelling as it seems to me it's well acknowledged there are colors that are BOTH. As in there are colors widely considered to be blue-green. Blue and Green.

OpenAI's thirst for compute probably can't be satisfied by one cloud provider, if at all. But OpenAI had announced a shift towards b2b and enterprise. It makes sense for their models to be available on the different cloud provider

I think it's this. They sell a crap ton of b2b inference through Azure and I'm sure this competes with resources needed for training.

You should really look up the definition of race condition; it has nothing to do with parallel processing. Parallel processing just makes it harder to deal with.

The initial Loom didn't really provide the semantics and ergonomics of async/await which is why they immediately started working on structured concurrency. And for my money I prefer async/await to the structured concurrency s

The MacBook's aren't a fungible alternative as they lock you into MacOS effectively and don't use Intel and AMD processors. Also, I'm not sure what a good alternative is these days to the Framework 13 Pro. I DO NOT USE G

It's a multi-layered refute that we are anywhere near AGI while also taking shots at the idea that "God" is real. And it's taking shots at how far off from Jesus's teachings a lot of "Christianity", partic
