In a few places. Author has communicated with the devs and they seem receptive to addressing the issues with the usual caveats that it doesn't break anything.

I don't think you'd ever be able to do a console port with a GPL engine. The SDKs are all proprietary and behind NDAs.

Yes it's the second of the two first-class scripting language options. My initial impressions are pretty positive. They moved to .Net 6 from mono with Godot 4. Support for deployment to Android with c# is coming in 4.2. There also seem

I imagine so. Should also be possible to generate bindings from the ClassDb json in a similar way to how it's done in C#. I'm not super familiar with it but it's all moving to the GDExtension stuff.

Yes, I think someone who first started pushing for it was interested in embedding it in their C# app as the entry. But it's just an .so that can be used in any app through the C ABI I gather.

Yes it's here: https://github.com/godotengine/godot/pull/72883 . Looks like it lost a little momentum in the past few weeks but it's working for people and there is a path forward to getting accepte

I've been diving into the engine development scene this week. Lots of cool activity going on. There is a PR shaping up to produce "libgodot"; Godot as a shared lib for embedding in other code. Users reporting use cases and wh

This is the way. Mobx tc39 decorator support is pretty much done too. I check in on the PR weekly haha.

Yeah, my take is the API should be made clean of this stuff and a shim layer added on top for GDScript to consume.

"People" will always do shitty stuff. Also, "people" will get overly defensive about challenges to their status quo and world view.. That said, how prevalent is the former vs the later really?

Easily room for both though. Maintaining two API binding layers is perfectly feasible with the attention and resources Godot is attracting. Unlike with Unity interested parties can jump in and lend a hand. You'll have two groups(perhap

You don't need to spend big though to address the issues author highlighted. Pretty straightforward API changes. After a design is decided on just some tedious typing work. Heck, it could be dog piled easy enough.

Yeah it's def biased towards existing users in many ways. Not a terrible thing if you want to concentrate on their needs, but not the best questions for filtering ideas for expanding adoption (perhaps).

Here is a discussion from the proposal repo I found with the topic of improving C# support: https://github.com/godotengine/godot-proposals/discussions/4... . One of the first comments was quick to point out t

You have over 20k(!) karma on HN and you've never seen the CoC(community guidelines) invoked in a way here that wasn't as a weapon to settle petty disagreements?

I had been considering that perhaps Bun's (way-too-late IMHO) ESM/CJS flexibility as not necessarily desirable. The package ecosystem has really firmed up ESM support from dev pressure on projects over the past year or so, but con

There are a relative handful of people willing and able to work on these projects. Lots of OSS software just gets abandoned when their corporate sponsors stop developing them; like Chakra Core and a bunch of Mozilla projects.

Does it have express wash? I have an issue due to low-ish water pressure upstairs and quite salty water from the softener where I need an extra rinse so I do an express main wash frequently.. Still clean dishes.

IDK I eat oatmeal every morning and only run a load every few days.. Dried on oatmeal is not match for the normal cycle even at half-load setting. Nothing survives the enzymes in modern detergent and the cascading coverage of my dishwasher.
