Will iOS ever have alternate launcher support? It makes Android a chameleon that can look and behave any way. Also, the "intents" system that allows the appropiate app to take over at any time is powerful.

I've clicked nearly everything and mashed the keyboard and haven't been able to create any image. I must be thick.

The combined location and search field in Google Chrome has always gone directly to sites. This isn't likely to change.

Who wants free books? I'm a member of the Internet. Web pages have disrupted publishing and text distribution in a big way. One of the things we're experimenting with now is how to build links and get relevant search results. It'll drop the

He doesn't have any server side code running. He used PayPal for payments. The scheme seems more plausible to me now, but it would definitely take more work.

Flat pricing is predictable and transferred immediately. Your scheme would involve refunds or delayed payment. Sounds risky for questionable benefit.

Except there isn't a 20-30 range, though I expected 20-24 and 25-29. The poll maker didn't use typical 0-based ranges and thus ended with the awkward 66+ option.

I don't see the big deal; it's cosmetic. The logo's easy to remove. I can't imagine significant damages. Legal issues are only a problem when the content is infringing, such as video uploads.

Twitter previously used some stock bird art, but the logo was just the bubble letters. Now they have an original bird logo. But 3rd party Twitter stuff can use arbitrary bird art, or maybe the old stock one since it's unclear who owns it. I

http://friendfeed.com/ -- Less really is more. Remember how Gmail looked before featuritis? The rare right-side menu, and it's customizable. The original mouseover profile cards, later implemented on Twitter and Facebook. Simple theming.
