I used to work at a car part store and the majority of the staff was teenagers looking to get into the car world (either future mechanics, or car parts managers) but they WAY under paid us for the type of work. Repair shops looking for spec

You're absolutely correct in what you enjoy on a camping adventure is a different world than if you lived as full time mountain man. That being said, just because you move into the mountains doesn't make technology disappear. You

Social engineering can be very powerful. Small ISPs could fall victim to this easier.

I should have specified, Tesla Plaid. Of course a Model X isn't as quick as a fully built 1000hp AWD DCT GTR. Apples to oranges.

Yes, their top speed is much much faster. But put that same vehicle on a 1/4 mile race track, racing a top fuel dragster. The top fuel dragster produces around 5g's at launch, the top speed cars are very very slow to build up spee

I've been a huge fan of drag racing, and the engineering behind it. I've seen the influx of electric cars making their way into the scene but they never seem to be competitive, and that comes down to their top end. The extreme end

I believe before 18, you need your parents and school principle to sign off. I don't know many kids who didn't work directly out of high school, even with university but in that case, they're just being carried by their paren

In the past I've always found that the easiest way to bypass Cloudflare was looking up DNS history of their domain. Majority of servers will continue to respond off their IP directly.

I remember many years ago with lulzsec, where cloudflare refused to shutdown their services. Whether what they did was moral or not, it was a still a crime and I imagine it was because they agreed with the message.

I picked up a 1994 Toyota Pickup for this exact reason. It's so insanely simple, they didn't even give it a proper name. One of the last true work horses, if it wasn't for that damn rusty frame.

Owning a 1994 Toyota pickup, this truck has been argued as one of the toughest trucks ever made. However, they rust. Badly. It's usually the frame, starting from the inside where it collects dirt and water absorbs into it where it won&

I'd imagine the top end being where you need the gearing. If you can cut the rpm in half while on a road trip that's double(?) mileage? Im sure it isn't that cut and dry though, they probably did plenty of experiments.

That is true, but I've also read that F1 (electric series?) was using transmissions at first and some stuck with them, while some didnt. Although, F1 has unlimited budget. Im sure using lower power motors would allow the usage of trans

I've wondered for a while, why don't EV vehicles use transmissions? I understand they don't need them but wouldn't it make the motor even more efficient? Any ICE vehicles goal would be to put the lowest gearing (over dri

I really wanted to give developers more control over their asset hosting. If they wanted to host their assets on a remote server for better performance, that's an option I'd want them to have. Relying on only X Y Z service will ce
