I think that's different because I have a positive personal opinion of the GDPR and a negative personal opinion about what the UK is doing. Therefore the GDPR is good and this is bad. It's really quite objective.

A small subset of technical users do read logs. If a desktop app has a problem, I have a fighting chance of fixing it if I have logs. Error messages may not give the full picture; what was the app trying to do before the error occurred? Log

I keep feeling this feeling and it depresses me. I start reading an article and then gradually realise it's a load of AI slop, but by the time I get that realisation I've already wasted several minutes of my life. It's a sink

The result for "ai" is possibly skewed because it's a far more popular talking point in recent times versus HN's history as a whole.

Why are those scripts running in interactive login shells? If they are influenced by the configuration of profile, then the scripts are bad.

It's Doom in part because it's a significantly popular game, that was open sourced, with low resource requirements (but not too low to be trivial), with an innovative custom engine that people find interesting, originally created

Yes, this is ridiculous. Far too much chrun in this ecosystem. This decreases my confidence in this Mintlify company; given this, they seem like the type to randomly rugpull when they feel like it.

I don't see why this thing has much reason to be focused on agents or AI - a standardized API for ecommerce is useful regardless of that usecase.

Thanks for the response Matthew! But please go to sleep! Yes it's unfortunate how much Synapse's unperformant implementation has decreased general confidence in the protocol itself. I'm confident it will get better

I feel similarly for a different reason. I put my code out there, licensed under the GPL. It is now, through a layer of indirection, being used to construct products that are not under the GPL. That's not what I signed up for. I know t

I'm generally very positive about using AI as a tool day-to-day, but, wow, I think I hate this. I think I _really_ hate this. I like reading. I dedicate a good amount of my time to reading. I find it quite a personal experience to read

What is the breakdown of customers who care about advanced water resistance versus screws/repairability? I imagine most want some water resistance (e.g. 1m), but people may be torn on 30m if it means they lose out on screws. I'm i
