The Freenode implosion also nuked chanserv and nickserv on Freenode side as well, so things happened there as well.

Does the Twitch IRC side still work? As their chat is based on IRC. I did participate on a few streams chat with a normal IRC client a few years back. Ah, Xircon, Quakenet and Counter-Strike. Those were the days.

Does it allow filtering Creative Commons version 4 only or all CC licenses jumbled? Mess up attribution and in pre-v4 CC license it reverts back to All Rights Reserved. This is the business model for some folks. 500 - 5000usd demand per inf

There is also hamnet, which is partly internet routable and partly not on the 44Net IP block. https://hamnetdb.net/map.cgi It has interesting limitations due to the amateur radio spectrum used. Including total ban commerc

Shortened the title, as the original "Hardware and firmware reverse engineering primer: dissecting an FPV and video surveillance platform" did not fit.

For a desktop client hexchat/xchat works fine, imo.

It's wild reading old issues of VHF Communications and finding advertizements for buying the PCB's for this project. So I,guess people really did try to reproduce it as well.

Most Bluetooth being GFSK means the TX chain is completely non-linear to begin with, so the frequency error is an easier target for fingerprinting. That said, most also have ramp-up and ramp-down slopes on the transmission start and end

For passive tags the power densities and antenna sizes in orbit would be genuinely use. For active tags it's a transponder like any other satellite tracker.

With some care, you can see the tag replies with a 10eur rtl-sdr, but the rest if the software stack does not exist for free. CISC will sell you a license to rent the software, but you need to provide your own rtl-sdr stick. Voyantic (n

That sounds very suitable for solar powered IoT and IIoT sensors, so the talk about GUI's feels confusing. Zephyr or freertos are perfectly fine with sub-2meg amounts if SRAM.

Because those are now trailing edge nodes, so cheaper and easier entry for everybody.

Retevis also now has RB24, a lora based mesh radio that does voice, but the details are very sparce. The system claims to do up to 32 hops, which has potential for some very decent range with a large enough population. https://ww

Sure, but that does not stop it from capacitively coupling it. Even tape or insulation from a wire can, be used to electrically lengthen or fine tune an antenna. But thats less about capacitance and more about the electrical lenght being lo

A capacitance hat is a legit way to electrically lengthen an antenna. I have had decent success with them when finetuning antennas for lower bands.

Yeah. At they pulled a Sony on a smaller scale and have better relations with the local govt. The people who ordered it done will be fine.

At least the civilian Starlink sats will not be able to do that. The transmit and receive frequencies are different and limited by hardware filters. They would be most useful for communications and possibly enable interference mapping. O

And many modern sound card IC sample at an effective rate of 192kHz and use internal DSP to downsample that to the requested sample rate. Much easier to design a good low pass filter on the cheap when your Nyquist frequency is on 96kHz i

Could have been the pulse frequency of old magnetostriction loss prevention rfid tags. The tone is not meant to be audio, but might be inadvertently emitted by the electronics.
