Agree, my relatives have stories of Christmas in the 70s in the Midwest. And then sometimes there's ice storms. Extreme weather is not itself a good argument for climate change, you need to show you've bucked 100+ year trends (whi

That's usually a niche feature. Core IP and fabrication have become so cheap that it is preferred to get a Cortex-A part and real DRAM. What usecase do you have for larger memories on an embedded controller?

I see it as more realistic to just accept that practical use for an average user requires redistribution and do it regardless of what the law may say otherwise, possibly from a location where such awful interpretations aren't enforceab

It was posted on an older thread, but there's a quote by a surveyor and geologist in the 1800s as they were defining water rights. He mentioned there is no way to sustain an agricultural population in these areas despite the aquifers.

Running a small induction forge takes ~20kW or so, about the max deliverable to a house, so no. This output is achievable with gas.

The idea behind licensing as GPL is that you offer support, subscription, or relicensing. The problem I see is his target niche is crowded already, not that he's using GPL. Using AGPL would be better because you work around hosted serv

Yes. Not suitable for very high density designs yet, like a motherboard. But you can layout high-speed differential designs with more effort than, say, Altium. But these tools with good auto-routing are very expensive.

Any change in the state of an inductive load causes kickback. If you sever the lines running to a building, the generator side gets the most kick, but even a fully passive device gets a kick from the collapsing field in the wires servicing

I dislike the mikrotik devices because they lock the functionality of the device. I was unable to set up a pair of repeaters as anything else because of this. It was not really advertised and it's totally artificial.
