Maybe the contracts they sign match up with what you say, but the reality is that in many cases the record companies go out and find 'talent' which they then mold into 'stars'. I'm talking specifically about the artists who have other peop

a) The way I see it is akin to signup pages on websites where the 'option' to allow them to spam you with email is checked by default. Yes it's obvious what the checkmark does and reader beware, but that doesn't make it less underhanded. b

In many places, there's too much left over for the staff to eat (even if they wanted to), and it can't be donated to the hungry either because of sanitation regulations. The amount of food that gets thrown out every day is enormous.

The 'designed for mouse interaction' thing is total nonsense. This has been debunked repeatedly, but people still believe it because Steve Jobs said so.

Ekranoplans are/were real, see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ekranoplan#Ekranoplan_wing In fact, some of the description from the article is taken straight from that wikipedia page. But yes, the article is a lot of hype on top of a skelet

Me, I listen to my body. Yes, exactly. I've been doing this for years now, and it's worked well. The problem is that most/many people are pretty out of touch with their body, and getting in touch takes time and effort.

I used to have a lot more extensions installed on Firefox, but right now all I actually use is: AdBlock Plus, Download Statusbar, and Tab Scope. Although one personal 'hack' almost counts: I moved the bookmark toolbar up next to the system

Literature and history books involve ungodly amounts of page flipping when it comes time to write your term papers (which for many students probably accounts for 95% of the time they actually spend reading the book...).

Actually I'm fairly sure it's only legal for them to hold you responsible to ~50 dollars in case of ID theft. Don't you think the CC companies would want to make you liable? Of course they would.

re the Minor Annoyance: Middle clicking to close tabs works fine in Firefox and even IE8 (only browsers I have on my system). No reason to complain about moving the mouse to the X button when you don't actually need to.
